Beginner Class
Class is designed for those new to needlepoint or need a refresher. Learn about canvases, threads, accessories and most importantly how to stitch the continental and basketweave stitch. Price of class includes 2 hours of instruction, handout and all supplies needed to complete provided beginner canvas (which can be finished as a bag tag, ornament or framed).
We ask that you prepay for the class. No refunds. Life happens and if you are unable to attend your scheduled class we will gladly reschedule or provide you with your class kit.

| Instructor Bio: | Dawn stitched her first needlepoint belt back in the 1980s then spent the next 30 years pursuing different hobbies such as cross stitch and knitting. She rediscovered needlepoint during the pandemic and once shops reopened found Karen at Park Avenue Needlepoint. Needlepoint became a new obsession (she understands how easily needlepoint can do this and is always excited to welcome new stitchers). She began working for Karen after the shop moved to its current location in Kettering. You will hear her refer to the shop as "my happy place" and it's not unusual to see her at the shop everyday now. It's hard to keep her away! Dawn enjoys teaching and has the philosophy that everyone learns differently and she will meet you right where you are no matter where that is. |
