Beyond Beginner Class - Sampler
Decorative stitches help bring your canvas to life!
This Beyond Beginner's Class is designed to introduce the participant to decorative stitching. The class will include threads and canvas to create a sampler with a single monogram in the center that finishes as a pillow or can be framed. Two, 2-hour classes will introduce the participant to decorative stitches by providing instruction on how to navigate and read a stitch guide, learn and practice suggested decorative stitches, as well as learn how to compensate.

| Instructor Bio: | Dawn stitched her first needlepoint belt back in the 1980s then spent the next 30 years pursuing different hobbies such as cross stitch and knitting. She rediscovered needlepoint during the pandemic and once shops reopened found Karen at Park Avenue Needlepoint. Needlepoint became a new obsession (she understands how easily needlepoint can do this and is always excited to welcome new stitchers). She began working for Karen after the shop moved to its current location in Kettering. You will hear her refer to the shop as "my happy place" and it's not unusual to see her at the shop everyday now. It's hard to keep her away! Dawn enjoys teaching and has the philosophy that everyone learns differently and she will meet you right where you are no matter where that is. |
